Docking

The Barletta boat requires a gradual turn when approaching the dock, with slow forward movement until you get closer to the dock. Once close enough, engage neutral and switch back to forward and then neutral again. This will help keep you on course as you approach. As you get even closer, start turning the engine to the left while engaging forward and neutral repeatedly until you start drifting towards the dock. To come around, turn the wheel to the right while engaging reverse and giving it a little throttle. 

When approaching the lift, make sure you're going nice and slow and gradually turn inwards while engaging forward and neutral repeatedly until you reach your destination. To slow down, engage reverse while turning the wheel in the opposite direction before switching back to forward again.

things to know before running the boat

The battery switch for the Barletta is located near its helm, with an on/off switch and an emergency combined mode available. If starting seems difficult due to low battery power, switch to combine mode before moving back to on once it starts up. The Bimini is power-actuated with a switch located at the helm ballon key. At its helm are various switches for stereo control, boat speed readouts via RPM gauge speedo, multifunction Simrad display and throttle control that's digital in nature so that simply scooting it forward activates gear changes with a small indentation felt when in gear either forwards or backwards. The ignition key is located below this; if starting seems problematic ensure that throttles are in neutral position while safety lanyard is attached with switches set at run position.

Watersports

For watersports enthusiasts using tow lines for activities such as water skiing or wakeboarding from behind their pontoons should take note of where their main tow point is located - usually right in front of their engine - being careful not to entangle themselves in any propeller lines as they let out line slowly once they're underway rather than throwing it all out at once. When bringing someone onboard for watersport activities shut off engines first before bringing them aboard while paying attention not getting caught up in any entangled lines which can be dangerous.
