What to Expect on Peak Weekends at Seattle Marinas & SkyLaunch Facilities

What to expect on peak weekends at our Seattle Marina & Bellevue Marina on Lake Union and Lake Washington.

Seattle's short boating season means that peak summer weekends and holidays will pack our Multiple Marinas - both the Seattle Marina on Lake Union and the Bellevue Marina on Lake Washington and other marinas and lakes around the cities popular waterways will be experiencing high traffic.

Here are some tips for navigating Peak Season Weekends smoothly and ensure you have a great day on the water, regardless of the crowds!

GAS UP EARLY

Local gas docks will have long lines of boaters who didn't think to fill up a few days before the big weekend - come prepared for traffic at our Lake Washington and Lake Union fuel docks or remember to fill up at the end of your last boating adventure before popular weekends!

ARRIVE PROMPTLY

We rely on everyone in the Seattle Boat Family to make peak boating a smooth experience. Please plan to arrive at the marina promptly for your scheduled outing.

PARKING ATTENDANT

During periods of peak traffic Seattle Boat marinas will be staffed with Parking Attendants to assist with check-in and navigating parking. Please look for clearly placed signs and attendants during peak traffic periods.

DISPLAY YOUR PARKING PASS

Only ONE car is allowed in facility parking per boat and a current parking pass must be visible. To ensure parking for our customers, vehicles without a pass on display will be towed. Street side parking is available for guests. Please consider carpool, bike, or rideshare whenever possible.

SCHEDULE AHEAD

All launches must be scheduled through the SpeedyDock App, no unscheduled launches are allowed during this time.

CHECK IN UPON ARRIVAL

“Check in” via SpeedyDock upon arrival at the Marina. This moves you into the queue to get your boat launched. Without “check in” our team is not aware that you are on site and ready to go boating.

RETURN & DISEMBARK ETIQUETTE

All returns must be scheduled in SpeedyDock. Please have all your personal items packed up and ready to disembark when returning to the dock.

HAVE FUN AND PLEASE BE PATIENT

As we work to get you on the water making memories, we ask everyone to practice patience and kindness knowing that our staff is doing everything in our power to keep you safe and boating!

LET US KNOW IF PLANS CHANGE

Please cancel or update your launch at our Seattle Marina and Bellevue Marina if boating plans change.

ICE LIMIT

Please limit ice to 2 bags per boat to ensure enough for all of our members.
