How to Schedule and Retrieve Your Boat at the Marina
Learn how to schedule boat launches, request retrievals, and make the most of dry stack marina storage at Seattle Boat Company Marinas.
One of the biggest benefits of dry stack storage is how easy it makes boating. Instead of worrying about trailering, launching, or loading up at the ramp, your boat is stored safely and ready when you are.
At Seattle Boat Company SkyLaunch Marinas, our goal is to make getting on the water as seamless as possible. Here’s a quick guide to scheduling your launch, returning from your day on the water, and making the most of your marina access this season.
How to Request a Boat Launch
Using the marina app, you can request a launch up to 30 minutes in advance before arriving at the marina.
Planning ahead? You can also schedule launches for upcoming days and weekends in advance, which is especially helpful during busy summer periods and holiday weekends.
The earlier you schedule, the smoother your launch experience will be during peak boating season.
Want to Go Out Early in the Morning?
Planning an early sunrise cruise, surf session, or fishing morning?
A great marina tip is to request the final launch of the previous day and include a note that you’ll be heading out early the next morning. Our marina operators will ensure your boat is already in the water and ready for you when you arrive.
It’s one of the easiest ways to maximize your time on the water during those perfect summer mornings.
Returning to the Marina
Before arriving, open the marina app and indicate that you’re on your way back. This helps the marina team prepare for your return and clear space for your boat.
Once you arrive:
- Seasonal dockhands will assist as needed
- Your boat cover will be placed back on the boat
- The marina team will prepare your boat for re-racking
This process helps keep returns smooth and efficient, especially during busy afternoons.
Coming Back After Marina Hours?
No problem! If you’re returning after marina closure, still make sure to submit your retrieval in the app. This alerts the morning marina crew that your boat remained in the water overnight and needs to be re-racked first thing the next morning.
Even after hours, the app helps our team stay organized and keeps your boat accounted for.
Helpful Tips for a Smooth Marina Experience
A few simple habits can help make busy boating days easier for everyone:
- Schedule launches early during warm-weather weekends
- Use app notifications consistently
- Let the team know if your plans change
- Request overnight-in-water launches for early departures
- Be patient during peak holiday traffic
Our marina team works incredibly hard during the busy boating season, and communication through the app helps keep operations running efficiently for all members and guests.
